Today we are going to have my Chili Honey Roasted Cauliflower… let me tell you… it is addicting.
This one is definitely a household favorite. I like to serve it with a good steak or my crispy salmon recipe (that is what I am doing tonight). It is always a plus when you can throw it in the oven and just let it sit until it is yummy. It happens to be in the oven right now 🙂
Normally, I will also throw together another side of sweet potatoes or normal potatoes but tonight is Bachelorette Night (please don’t judge). If anyone watches the show they know it is better with a glass or 2 of wine so that is obviously where my calories are going this evening.
Ok so back to the recipe. It is really simple actually. Cauliflower, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, olive oil.
First, before you are gathering and cutting, set your over to 400 degrees. Easy.
Then you want to cut off the stem part of the cauliflower and cut the florets into bite size pieces. Personally, I am not a fan of the stem so I continue to cut it down until it is just the top. Make sure to keep all the super small bites, they really soak up the flavor!
Now, you want to mix this very specifically. I have found that if you mix everything together at once, it is almost impossible to get an even coat because the honey is so sticky. So dump half of the honey, olive oil, salt, garlic, and chili powder over the top then mix everything up. THEN dump the rest on top and mix again. Maybe this doesn’t actually work but I think it does.
Next you want to take out a sheet pan, put down some parchment paper, and spread the cauliflower all over. Now pop those suckers into the oven!
Today, I took this baking time to do some dishes (gross), fix up my salmon, and write this lovely blog post.
Anyways, cook the cauliflower for 40-45 minutes and BOOM you are done.
Ingredients:
1 Head of Cauliflower
3 TBS Honey
2 TBS Olive Oil
1-2 TBS Chili Powder
1 TSP Garlic Powder
1 TSP Salt
Black Pepper
Kelsey, this looks really delicious! Your pictures are really good, and I loved the tip about mixing in half of the flavoring at a time, so that you get a good coating on all of the cauliflower! I will probably save this until later in the year, because it’s so hot!, but once it’s time to turn on the oven again, I’ll be making it!!
